Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr) Aseh Bin Haji Che Mat was the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs until October 2007, and the President of the Putrajaya Corporation from August 2012 until 31 July 2015.
Tan Sri Aseh was born in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, on 22 October 1951. He is married with four children. He obtained his BA (Hons.) (Economics) from the University of Malaya in 1974, and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California in 1984. In year 2007, Tan Sri Aseh received his PhD in International Relations from the Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology, Cyberjaya. He also received PhD in Management from Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur in 2015.
Upon his graduation in 1974, Tan Sri Aseh joined the Ministry of Finance as Assistant Secretary and later held various positions as Assistant Secretary, Secretary and Principal Assistant Secretary of the Education Services Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak and Sabah.
Since 1984, he served in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia in various capacities including Principal Assistant Secretary of the Security and Police Affairs Division; Undersecretary of Security and Preventive Division, and Management Division; and Deputy Director General and Director General of the Department of Immigration, Malaysia. From February 2001 to October 22, 2007, he served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia. While serving as President of Perbadanan Putrajaya he was also the Chairman of all the subsidiary Companies ie Pj Hotels and Resorts Sdn. Bhd., Marina Putrajaya Sdn. Bhd., Putrajaya International Convention Centre Sdn. Bhd. (PICC), Pengangkutan Awam Putrajaya Sdn. Bhd. and Putrajaya Floria Sdn. Bhd.
Tan Sri Aseh was appointed to the Board of MWE Holdings Berhad (“MWE”) on 23 July 2008 as an Independent Non-Executive Director and subsequently on 28 July 2008 as Independent Non-Executive Chairman. He has been an Independent & Non-Executive Director of Lion Diversified Holdings Berhad since 1 December 2007.
From 1st January 2017, Tan Sri Aseh serves as the Chairman of British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad. He served as a Director of Stemlife Berhad from April 2008 to November 29, 2013. He served as Chairman of Pos Malaysia Berhad from July 15, 2008 to July 15, 2011 and Chairman of Digicert Sdn. Bhd. since February 10, 2009. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at DSI Corporation Sdn Bhd., the Chairman of Volunteers Corp. Cooperatives, Malaysia (RELA) and NineBio Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian Government owned company.
Tan Sri Aseh is an Advisor to the Ex-Policeman Association of Malaysia, Chairman of Yayasan Pesara Kerajaan, Chairman of the University Council of Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology, Cyberjaya, Trustee and Chairman of Football Association of Malaysia Vetting, Monitoring and Integrity Committee, President of Tiara Golf & Country Club, Melaka and President of UMNO Club, Retired Senior Civil Servants. He was also active in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service (ADS) and was its longest serving President.

Co-Founder and Managing Director of Medical Opinion Asia, has built a lifetime career in healthcare delivery, built on experience from the United Kingdom, United States of America, Singapore and Malaysia. Eight years in Singapore at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and over twenty years spent in Malaysia, where Stuart has been the Chief Operating Officer of Subang Jaya Medical Centre, and the Chief Executive Officer of two of Malaysia’s top private hospitals, Gleneagles Medical Centre, and Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
With extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, Stuart has taken the opportunity to develop a much needed service of providing Medical Opinions on line, harnessing the collective professional skills of some of Malaysia’s top Medical Specialists in many specialised fields of medicine. Bringing Medical Specialists closer to Patients has always been a driving force for Stuart, and now Medical Opinion Asia, in the Digital Healthcare era, is able to do just that.
Dato’ Wei Chuan Beng

Throughout his working life, Dato’ Wei Chuan Beng has been involved in IT and ICT. An industry veteran of 27 years, he is the Group Managing Director of REDtone International Berhad and REDtone Asia Inc. Both are listed on Bursa Malaysia and the US OTC Bulletin Board respectively.
Dato’ Wei is the driving force behind the REDtone Group where he is one of the founding members. Under his guidance and spirit of innovation, the Group which started off with REDtone Telecommunications Sdn Bhd in 1996, is today an integrated telecommunications solutions provider catering to niche market segments. He continues to play an instrumental role in shaping the Group’s strategic directions and policies to grow the business locally and internationally.
One area that Dato’ Wei is particularly focused on and passionate about at this point in time is the development of digital business. He believes that the way forward for businesses is to go digital and within 10 years, all businesses will be “digitalised”. Traditional businesses especially must have a concrete plan to digitalise or face falling behind. He is involving himself in the education of other business leaders on the opportunities and threats arising from the digitalisation of businesses and what’s in store for the digital future.
Dato’ Wei also jointly spearheaded the REDtone MEX Teleradiology service and REDtone IOT business initiatives.
Dato’ Wei is a master trainer for professional selling skills in REDtone Academy, and a regular speaker at industry conferences and institutions of higher learning. He is adjunct professor at University Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia.
Aside from making a career out of ICT, he has also played leadership and advisory roles within influencer and strategic thought organizations such as PIKOM (Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia) and the National IT Council. He keeps abreast of developments and makes it a point to attend all the major conferences and trade shows in Malaysia and outside of the country.
He was conferred DSPN with the title Dato’ as a recognition of his contributions to the industry in 2011.
Prof. Dr. David Charles Cumberland
Director and Clinical Advisor
David Cumberland obtained his medical degree in Edinburgh, Scotland. After postgraduate training he was for many years a Consultant Cardiovascular Radiologist in Sheffield, England. He started doing coronary and peripheral artery balloon angioplasty in 1980, having learned from the method’s inventor, Andreas Greuntzig, in Zurich.
Over the years he has trained countless people in Sheffield and throughout the world in the techniques, and visited many centres to set up their angioplasty service and to demonstrate new techniques.
In 1982 he founded the British Coronary Angioplasty Group – this is now called the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, is a major force in furthering the cause of cardiovascular intervention in the UK, and attracts several hundred attendees to its bi-annual meetings.
Between 1988 and 1994 he had a part time position as Consultant in Cardiovascular Studies at the world renowned San Francisco Heart Institute – as well as research and clinical procedures, this involved participating in a bi-annual live demonstration course which attracted several hundred physicians from all over the world.
He was appointed Professor in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Sheffield in 1994, and was co-leader of a burgeoning, now thriving, cardiovascular research group in the University of Sheffield, whilst maintaining clinical commitments in the cardiology unit at the Northern General Hospital and a private practice in London.
He is now a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at renowned hospitals in Malaysia.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), Royal College of Radiologists (UK), Royal College of Surgeons of England, European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology.
He was awarded the Rohan Williams gold medal for the top candidate in the UK radiology fellowship examination, and the Professor James Scott Medal for excellence in the promotion of healthcare.
He is author or co-author of over 200 papers, mainly on research in angioplasty, stenting and other techniques in cardiovascular intervention.
He believes patients’ rights to be as fully informed as possible in discussions about treatment options should be actively promoted, and the ready availability of second opinions and consultations is an important part of this. Chong Sze Siang

Prior to joining Medical Opinion Asia team as Chief Technology Officer, Chong assumed pre-sales role in REDtone Telecommunications, Diversified Gateway Berhad and Alcatel-Lucent, where he gained vast experience in the aspect of data networking and information technology. He started his career as a Research Officer at Multimedia University (MMU) in 2009, in which he was given the responsibility to lead the research and software programming in the area of breast cancer medical imaging.
Chong holds a BEng (Hons) Electronics majoring in Telecommunications from Multimedia University.
